Was I in the market for a new diaper bag? Absolutely not. I can sit here trying to think of all these reasons as to why I bought a new bag, but really, I just wanted a new one and the green color of this bag was right up my alley. My intent with this bag was to condense the bags I had in rotation. I wanted a diaper bag good for 2 kids that I could again use as a work/pump bag, but also to just be able to use as a normal bag as well.

So I’ll be looking at this bag from 3 different angles. How well it works for cloth diapering vs disposable diapers, how well this bag works for a pump bag, and lastly would it well as a regular backpack. With that being said, let’s look at one of the most important factors:

Price

This bag retails for $180. Jujube’s website frequently has sales around holidays or just because so if you can wait until that happens you can drop the price a bit as well. I fell in love with a color that was only on Buy Buy Baby’s website and used their 20% coupon towards it. Pros

I mean honestly the pro is in the name right? This bag is not joking around to the amount of pockets this thing has. I still haven’t figured out what to use some of the pockets for to be honest. I love that I have them though!

This bag fits my 13″ laptop, which my BFF bag couldn’t where I intended to put it. That alone helps me extend the use of this bag past it’s diaper/kid bag life. The color of the bag is gorgeous. I opted for the olive color they call Basil. They have nice neutral colors which is opposite of my BFF bag that is loud and bright. The bag is also stylish, in my opinion, where I don’t feel like you know it’s original purpose is to be a diaper bag.

When I use this as a pump bag, everything has a place. I love that it prevents me fully from overpacking for this. Like today for example, I have my pump bra, pump parts, and my Kiinde bags in the main compartment. I packed snacks inside pockets and my laptop and planner are in the back. The “mommy pocket” holds everything that would be in my normal purse as it’s the exact size I typically carry. Sometimes I carry a small cooler from an old diaper bag for any pumped milk, but at this stage of my pumping journey I more often than not skip a cooler.

Cons

The only con I currently have towards this bag is having to use a strange set up for cloth diapers. I would prefer to use the back pocket where the changing pad is for everything diaper related. You could fit wipes, a wet bag, and 1 cloth diaper back there, but it bulked up the back. So I end up using the main larger pocket main space to hold a few cloth diapers then store my wipes and empty wet bag in the back pocket.  If you use disposables you definitely wont have that problem as everything fits nicely.

Overall thoughts

I honestly love this bag a lot more than I thought I would. I can see this bag growing with me out of tiny human stage by holding any knitting projects I’d be working on or holding more journaling pieces to have on hand. The bag will working amazingly for zoo trips with the kids. Knowing the extended life you can get past diaper bag life, I think the higher price tag is fully worth it. If you’re in the market for a new bag check it out! This material it’s made from is surprisingly soft yet the bag holds it’s shape very nicely. The bag itself doesn’t feel heavy which is awesome because once it’s packed up you aren’t dealing which the weight of your bag as well as all the items.
